I’ve had the same dream two nights running now. I dream I’m going to America with a group of people and the nearer the time comes the more frightened and anxious I become. In the first dream I was on the plane and suddenly It nosedived and I’m terrified thinking I’m going to die. Then the plane levels out and starts climbing. I woke up at that point. In last nights dream, I’m saying over and over, ‘I can’t go, I can’t go’. As an addition to this dream I realise I’ve come home from my work as a nurse, with the drug cabinet keys! It’s almost like a gift because I have to take them back when I should be setting off for the airport.
This recurring dream scenario can be dissected into several symbolic elements, each reflecting different aspects of your subconscious mind. Let's break down the components:
Recurring Themes: Travel and Anxiety
The Airplane and Flight Scenarios
Repeating the Phrase: "I can't go, I can't go"
Nurse and Drug Cabinet Keys
Overall, this dream reflects a significant apprehension about current or upcoming changes in your life, particularly concerning a role or responsibility you hold dear. The anxiety connected with the travel symbolizes the fear of taking new steps or moving forward, either professionally or personally. You may need to address what's causing these feelings of fear and anxiety, possibly by identifying the aspects of these changes that disturb you the most, and finding concrete actions to feel more in control and prepared.
